This is one quesionable playe I made but I’ll give my thoughts and I just want some opinions on how ud play it differently. UTG LAG limps (his liming range is pretty wide) folded to me on the button with a pair of sevens. I raise to 3x just trying to keep the blinds out and get heads up since I believe I have over 50% equity against his limping range. Small folds bb calls (pretty good reg and also my friend at the casino) he could be calling fairly wide since he knows my range on the button is pretty weak. And utg limper calls making the pot 22$ preflop flop comes ten 8 2 rainbow pretty good flop for a pair of sevens bb and limper checks I decided to check here (the limpers bets 100% times with top pair) I feel that a bunch of BBs and limpets range can peal on this board. Turn is a 5 of spade. Bb checks and when he checks here he’s just giving up I’m pretty certain he’s gonna fold. Then limper bets 20$ a pot sized bet. I called because thr only hand he could represent on the 5 turn was a set but also if I call here I was probably faced with a big bet on the river. I figured he was turning most weak ace x into a semi bluf with the wheel draw so I’m calling most paired boards king queen 6, obviously an ace is bad card 34 are questionable and jack is borderline just cuz it does complete some draws. Rivers a king Which is a really good card for me cuz all draws brick and it might stop a fish from bluffing me cuz I had a tight image. He checks, and I kind of didnt like this check unless he’s checking to give up but it seems more like he’s checking something with showdown value given only one bet. I rather the he bet cuz it’s almost always a bluff only hand he could represent is a set or if he was bluffing with king x then I’m gonna pay him off. I decided to check back just cuz I’m chicken. He shows down ace deuce and I win the pot with my pair. Give me your thoughts should I have bet the flop or river? Or what would u have done differently ~ thnx
