I’m stumped. It occurs so constantly over the intertidal range, in so many different places, I just don’t know. Does it prefer moist? submerged? big wave action? small wave action? Dark areas? Light areas?
You don’t have to answer those questions, just what are/is the microhabitat(s) of the variegated limpet?

6 hours of night-time feeding compressed into 5 seconds. Taken on a night-time low spring tide in Kimmeridge Bay, Dorset.
