An insecure man who feels more at home in the water as a fish, then he did as a man on land. As a fish he helps the navy find enemy submarines. Good movie, one of my childhood favorites.

A Don Knotts Classic movie – his character was not accepted for WWII Service (could not meet physical standards), and due to an ‘accident’ of fate, he gets transformed into a ‘fish’ when he falls off the pier. He then helps guide US Navy Subs to attack targets helping out with the WWII Efforts.
I enjoy this movie … it is a gem. Quite frankly, this movie is one that is good for the entire family to watch … from his relationships as a human … (and the woman he likes as a human), to his confusion to the acceptance of his transformation and finding the “inner hero” inside of him all along.
Watch this movie .. it is quite a gem. It is one of the Don Knotts Films that lets him be the actor that he was .. and his expressiveness is quite good whether in the Human form, or as the Animated ‘fish’ form too.
I do like the ‘humor’ of a fish with glasses!
This Empty-Nesting Single Retiree has this DVD in her collection. Don Knotts was a good comedian .. .much better than the ones around nowadays.
