at a drive-in theater? As a child, I saw Bambi, Mr. Limpet, Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Cinderella. As a teen, a friend and I saw Patton and something else I don’t remember. The drive-in theater was a great cheap family entertainment, especially if you took your own snacks rather than buying them there. Unfortunately, they are for the most part long gone. Do you remember any of the movies you saw at a drive-in?
more than I can count..we still go to the drive ins almost every weekend in the summer.

Hmmm…they closed our drive in down years ago, sadly enough, and I was still fairly young, so I don’t remember all of them. I believe we saw Return of the Jedi (the one with the Ewoks…maybe it wasn’t R.of the J.). We also watched Fox and the Hound…ET…Stephen King’s Cat’s Eye…Baby the Secret of the Lost Legend…and Gremlins. I know there were a TON more, but I can’t remember them now.

I remember one film titled “House of Crazies”. It was a horror film consisting of a series of separate stories. I don’t know if it was ever released in video. I do remember Robert Powell was in it.
I also remember that it was an extremely cold night for the drive-in and we had to keep starting up the car to use the heater to stay warm.
Once on a family vacation out west, we saw “Yours, Mine, and Ours”, the original with Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda. It was very warm and my brother and I got to lay on the hood of the car to watch the film.
