  1. The animated sequences were directed by the great Robert McKimson, who did so many classic Warner Bros. cartoons, usually Foghorn Leghorn. I think that a computer generated remake wouldn’t have the same life and physical humor that Robert brought to his charaters.

  6. Gosh, I think this is one of my favorite movies of all time. I especially love that “Super Doodle Dandy” song. Anyone know where I can find it?

  7. This film, “The Reluctant Astronaut” and “The Ghost and Mr. Chicken” were Don’s big three movies, IMO.

“Limpet,” for those who might not know, was also the name of a type of “floating mine(bomb).” A “Limpet Mine,” as it were….

    Just FYI.

Bah. Barb deflected. While you are “legally” right, you are also quite wrong too, in spirit.

20, 30, or 40 years from now, some “self-appointed Hollywood genius” will rediscover this film, and he’ll attempt a “remake.”

The remake will be the object of huge praise…until 9 out of 10 people realize it sucks.

Of the 2 out of 10 who are still paying attention six months later, BOTH (of the 2) will agree that the “remake” sucked, and that the original was by far superior.

    Don’t be left out!
